The Blue Ridge Hockey Conference is pleased to announce their intention to move three of their members Division II within the BRHC in the 2010-'11 season. In addition, one local DII team has agreed to join the BRHC that same season.
The league is interested in other DII teams to join the new initiative.
Along with the announcement, the league is seeking a new DII Assistant Commissioner.
The BRHC works for the advancement of college hockey in the region. Any interested teams should contact Commissioner Ray Campbell at commissioner@brhockey.com.
League Welcomes New Members
The
BRHC is pleased to welcome four new teams this upcoming season. Catholic University and James Madison University have joined the Atlantic Division. Catholic is a former member of the Mason Dixon Conference and James Madison played independent last season. In addition, Wake Forest University and Johnson & Wales University have joined the Carolina Division. Both Wake Forest and Johnson & Wales played independent last season.
The Colonial Division will remain as is for the upcoming season. The league appreciates its growing list of members and looks forward to an exciting season in '09.

BRHC Names Colonial MVP Trophy the Joseph Baratta Award The BRHC expresses it's sincere condolences to the family, friends and players of George Washington University Head Coach Joseph Baratta, who passed away December 20. Baratta's son David serves as the GW President. The Baratta family will present the Colonial MVP Award at this year's BRHC Tournament.

2009 BRHC Tournament & Ticket Information The BRHC 2009 Tournament will be played at Bladez on Ice located in Greenville, North Carolina during the weekend of February 20th. Thirteen teams will be participating in the largest BRHC Tournament ever held.

BRHC Holds Fall Meeting The BRHC held its largest meeting in history, representing 25 teams in five states. The league admitted 11 new teams, discussed rule changes and honored Greg Stathis.
