On Friday night, February 11th all graduating Johnson & Wales University seniors were honored during the pre-game ceremonies.   Club advisor Chris Plano honored the seniors at center ice one at a time and presented them with parting gifts for their contributions to the ice hockey club at Johnson & Wales University.

"This group of graduating seniors are truly going to be missed.  It was a pleasure working with all of them on and off the ice.  I wish them the best of luck in all of their personal and professional endeavors.  I look forward to seeing them back on campus in the future."  said club advisor Chris Plano

"The club appreciates the support of Johnson & Wales University, the students, and all the fans that attended this year's home games.  We are looking forward to next season already"  said Plano

The JWU Ice Hockey club is planning to have their 1st Annual JWU Alumni vs. JWU Player game as a part of Family Weekend in October as part of the 2011-2012 club schedule.

Season Wraps Up on Down Note
With the end of the season over the wildcats will look to regroup, recruit and move forward with the core group of guys from this years team. With an injury plagued season cutting the bench numbers the wildcats had a hard time, but took everything with dignity, respect, and honor. It showed in the last game of the year against a strong Citadel team as the game was tied with only 3 minutes left in the third period.  The wildcats almost took the lead late in the game when Marco Jordan came streaking in from the right wing to only have his shot stopped inches from the goal line.

For only two players their dreams of playing college hockey have come to an end for Josh Trovato and Lance Lopez a late addition to the wildcats. We wish these two young men the best in their journeys and our much appreciation for all their hardwork and dedication to a long and successful first season in the BRHC.
On a high note the wildcats will be returning three key juniors and three key freshman back to the roster next year with a lot of pressure on them to preform. Juniors Marco Jordan, Eric Kendall, and Tim Pettit will return with all the tools to have a great season, and freshman Mike Green, Joe Cannan, and Bobby Brewster will be looked to provide some leadership for the incoming freshman being second year players.
