The Military Classic benefits the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. Over $14,000 has been donated to the Legacy Scholarship from these charity games.
 10/29/11   GMU Hosts USA Warrior Charity Game November 12th
On Saturday, November 12th at 2:10PM, George Mason is proud to host the USA Warriors Ice Hockey team (comprised of wounded military service members) for an exhibition game to benefit Fisher House Foundation. The event is being conducted to raise $20,000 for Fisher House Foundation which supports the families of military service members who are receiving treatment at Department of Defense medical centers.

 03/06/11   Former ODU Player Killed in Germany; BRHC to rename Military Classic Cup
Cuddeback, a 2008 graduate of William Monroe High School, was one of two killed in what's being called an act of terrorism. A gunman opened fire on a bus carrying U.S. service members outside the Frankfurt airport.

 12/02/10   GMU Hosts Brian St. Louis Family Fund Charity Game
On Dec 18, 2010, GMU will host the Brian St. Louis Family Fund charity game. The game will be hosted by Kettler Iceplex at 3:30pm.

The 10th annual BRHC Playoff Tournament will be played at the LaHaye Ice Center in Lynchburg, Virginia
 09/25/10   BRHC Kicks Off 10th season with CNU Home Opener
The CNU Ice Hockey team got off to a great start on the season with a 7-2 victory over Catholic University last Saturday at the Hampton Roads IcePlex.
 07/30/10   BRHC Announces Selection of New Board Members
The BRHC has nominated two new assistant commissioners and appointed one to the Director of Officiating. This announcement comes as the league continues to expand and integrate their operations with MACHA.

 05/08/10   League Mourns the Loss of VCU Jon Cowley
The BRHC is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of VCU Freshman Jon Cowley. The VCU forward passed away in his sleep Saturday.
 04/11/10   BRHC & MACHA Form Partnership
The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association and the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference are pleased to announce a new partnership. The joint venture is for the purpose of facilitating the growth and development of college hockey, while creating a new D-II division in the south. The partnership represents 39 D-II and D-III hockey programs from Pennsylvania to South Carolina.

The All-Star Committee has selected its roster of 25 of the top players throughout the BRHC. These players will compete at the ACHA All-Star Challenge March 25-28th in West Chester, PA.
 02/28/10   Loyola Wins Colonial Cup With 6-3 Victory Over ECU
Loyola rebounds after a difficult loss at the ACHA Regionals to defeat East Carolina, 6-3. Loyola Forward Tom Lindberg was named Colonial playoff MVP.

The All-Star Challenge (ASC) will take place the weekend of March 26-28, 2010 in West Chester, PA at the Ice Line facility. The ASC is an ACHA sponsored tournament for DIII hockey conferences.

The BRHC announces the All-BRHC and All-Colonial winners for the 2008-2009 season.
 01/17/09   BRHC Names Colonial MVP Trophy the Joseph Baratta Award
The BRHC expresses it's sincere condolences to the family, friends and players of George Washington University Head Coach Joseph Baratta, who passed away December 20. Baratta's son David serves as the GW President. The Baratta family will present the Colonial MVP Award at this year's BRHC Tournament.
 12/28/08   2009 BRHC Tournament & Ticket Information
The BRHC 2009 Tournament will be played at Bladez on Ice located in Greenville, North Carolina during the weekend of February 20th. Thirteen teams will be participating in the largest BRHC Tournament ever held.
 09/15/08   BRHC Holds Fall Meeting
The BRHC held its largest meeting in history, representing 25 teams in five states. The league admitted 11 new teams, discussed rule changes and honored Greg Stathis.
 09/14/08   Hockey Time USA Named Official Supplier
Hockey Time USA has been named the BRHC's official equipment supplier, which will provide members significantly reduced equipment costs this season.
 08/02/08   BRHC To Remember Greg Stathis at Fall Meeting
The members of the BRHC have voted to name its Championship Cup in the memory of former Georgia Tech coach Greg Stathis. The league will present the trophy to Greg's wife and father.
 08/01/08   MACHOA Is Hiring Officials
The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Officials Association is the exclusive officiating organization for the ACCHL and BRHC, representing 25 teams from Maryland to South Carolina.
 07/01/08   BRHC and CCHC Merge; Announce Expansion
Amended August 15 - The plan involves 20 teams from the region, including four former members.
 03/29/08   GW Edges Loyola to Win Colonial Championship, 5-3
The first ever Colonial Championship game was held at Ft. Dupont in Washington, D.C. Saturday.
 02/19/08   ODU defeats UNC Wilmington to Win BRHC Tournament

ODU advances to the ACHA National Tournament after defeating top seeded CNU.

 02/05/08   Mark Wikinson Wins South All-American Award
CNU's Mark Wilkinson is selected to the ACHA South All-American 1st-line. #3 CNU and #8 ODU are headed to Atlanta, Georgia.
