Just came across the site...nice.
I was a member of UNCC's first club team back in the late 80's (87 or 88?) We played in a rink in the basement of Eastland Mall. It had no glass (or anything else) on top of the boards, tough it did have carpet on the top....great for full contact hockey! I recall playing Chapel Hill, State, Duke, and VaTech. An 80 year old guy named "Doc" acted as our coach. We lasted 2 years. Good times, but I wish it was as organized as it appears now. Good Luck in the tournament! |
