In July, Marc Chavaree became the fourth head coach for the 49ers. The program has experienced considerable growth in the past two years. Appointing Marc as coach allows the Niners to capitalize on the talented hockey players on campus. Marc took time away from season preparation to discuss the upcoming 7th season for ice hockey at UNC Charlotte.

UNC Charlotte Hockey is excited to announce Marc Chavaree as head coach for the 49ers in the upcoming season. Marc brings a wealth of knowledge gathered over 30 years of organized hockey.

Dennis Crothers and Andrew Morgan were named to the All-BRHC first line. Crothers represents the 49ers as a defenseman; Morgan, a forward, also received Rookie of the Year honors.
