LaHaye Ice Center is the home of VMI Keydet Hockey
After the closing of the Roanoke Ice Station in the summer of 2006, the LaHaye Ice Center has become the proud home of the VMI Keydets Ice Hockey Team since the 2006-07 season. The arena seats 2000 fans with seating on the upper level as well as standing room for 1000 more, topping the capacity off around 3,000 people. LaHaye also includes concessions, a pro shop and top quality facilities. The VMI Keydet Hockey Team typically plays on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons in front of a rowdy VMI crowd. All games are free and everyone is encouraged to come. LaHaye Ice Center is also home to the nationally ranked Division I Liberty Flames . 
The LaHaye Ice Center is one of the nicest arenas in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The LaHaye Ice Center is located one hour away in Lynchburg, VA on Liberty University's campus. It is located right off of Route 29 and 460 near River Ridge Mall making it conveniently accessible to people from all over the state. VMI boasts its home arena and hopes that fans, friends, family, faculty and alumni can give VMI Ice Hockey the support they deserve at all games. Driving Instructions to LaHaye Ice Center: Lynchburg is located at the intersection of US-29, US-221, US-460 and US-501 in central Virginia, approx. 110 miles west of Richmond. From the South (US-29):
US-29 north to US-460 East (Candler's Mtn. Rd./Liberty University) exit. At the stop sign, turn right on Candler's Mountain Rd. and proceed northwest approx. 0.2 mile to University Blvd. (1st traffic light). Turn left on University Blvd. and proceed south approx. 0.25 mile to Ericsson Drive. Turn right on Ericsson Dr. and proceed west approx. 0.2 mile until dead end. Merge right into parking lot.
From the North (US-29):
US-29 south to exit 8B. Proceed through the first traffic light. At the second light, turn right on S Rt-670 (watch for Liberty University sign with an arrow pointing to the right). Proceed 2 more traffic lights and turn right on University Blvd. Proceed south on University Blvd. approx. 0.25 mile to Ericsson Drive. Turn right on Ericsson Dr. and proceed west approx. 0.2 mile until dead end. Merge right into parking lot.
From the West (US-460):
US-460 east to Rt-670 (Candler's Mountain Road) exit. At the stop sign, turn right on Candler's Mountain Rd. and proceed northwest approx. 0.2 mile to University Blvd. (1st traffic light). Turn left on University Blvd. and proceed south approx. 0.25 mile to Ericsson Drive. Turn right on Ericsson Dr. and proceed west approx. 0.2 mile until dead end. Merge right into parking lot.
From the East (US-460) or From the South (US-501):
US-460 west or US-501 north to Candler's Mountain Rd./University Blvd. exit. At the traffic light, stay straight as you enter the arena parking lot.
