Keydets win first ever playoff game ousting rival Radford 6-1. Rams had the Keydets number beating them for the third time this season 4-2. VCU went on to win the BRHC championship beating Citadel 2-1.

Hockey will face Radford for the third time this season spliting the series 1-1. This is the first time these two teams have met in playoffs.

Senior Drew Miraldi, Junior Drew Horgan, Sophomore Eric Wittig and Head Coach Daniel Berthiaume all received all-BRHC conference honors on the 1st and 2nd teams.
 02/07/09   VCU steals another from VMI 4-3
VCU ties the all-time series at 3-3 and clinches the first place spot in the Atlantic Division. VMI finishes at 12-6-1 (5-3 BRHC) for the 2008-09 regular season and clinches the 2nd seed in the Atlantic making the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 years.
 02/06/09   VMI beats W&M 6-4 for 7th consecutive time
VMI beat William and Mary for the second time this season and are 7-0 all-time against them. Although the Keydets came out victorious beating the Tribe, they had to earn every minute of their win.
 01/24/09   Big Red bounces back to blank Mason 6-0
Keydets traveled to Arlington after a devastating loss to VCU the night before. VMI played in front of large VMI contigent as they made no mistake in beating George Mason 6-0.
 01/23/09   Rams beats Keydets 6-4 in battle for 1st place
Rams came to Lynchburg, VA for the first game of 2009 and beat the Keydets 6-4. This marks the first loss for the Keydets since November 7th against Liberty (D-2) ending the VMI win streak at 5 games.
 01/19/09   Keydets move up two spots to #13 in 4th Ranking
VMI moves up two spots in the 4th Ranking of the Southeast Regional Division III ACHA poll to #13 this week.
 01/04/09   2009 BRHC Tournament & Ticket Information
The BRHC 2009 Tournament will be played at Bladez on Ice located in Greenville, North Carolina during the weekend of February 20th. Thirteen teams will be participating in the largest BRHC Tournament ever held.
 12/19/08   Keydets Ranked #15 in new Southeast Region poll
VMI received its first appearance in the Southeast Region poll this season at #15 and its first since the 2005-06 campaign.

VMI Hockey is featured in Center Ice Magazine for the Charity and $5714.68 raised this past Saturday against the Citadel. Center Ice Magazine is the number one source for covering southern ice hockey from youth to the pros.
 12/08/08   VMI wins first ever Frozen Military Classic 5-0
Keydets and Bulldogs play in first Frozen Military Classic Game raising $5,614.68 for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund benefits the children of the US Armed Forces men and women who have been killed on active duty since 9/11.

The Keydets beat the Bulldogs in front of a packed raucous house in Charleston Friday night as VMI came from behind to beat the Citadel in overtime and shootout 7-6.
 12/02/08   The Frozen Military Classic of the South!!!
Keydets vs. Bulldogs in Frozen Military Classic of the South this Saturday Dec 6th at 6pm at the Factory Ice House in Wake Forest, NC. All proceeds will go to children of fallen soldiers on the war on terror since 9/11.
 12/01/08   VMI vs. Citadel rivalry is back!!
Keydets face the Bulldogs this Friday night in Charleston, SC at the Carolina Ice Palace at 9:15pm. This will be the 5th meeting in the respective teams history with VMI leading the series 3-1.

Keydets beat NVCC 6-0 Friday night in Lynchburg and then got revenge against Radford Saturday night by winning 8-7 to go 3-1 in the Atlantic division heading into Thanksgiving break.

Keydets redeem themselves in big win against cross divisional rival UNC-Charlotte with a decisive 9-4 win.

Keydets drop to 1-3-1 and 0-1 BRHC after falling behind early, unable to make a successful comeback against division foe Radford 7-5.

Keydets surprise Division II team Cavaliers by forcing the game to a 3-3 tie.
 09/23/08   VMI opens 2008-09 season against the Gamecocks of USC
VMI travels USC to open the 2008-09 season. Gametime Friday night will be at 9:15pm and gametime Saturday has changed from 9:30am to 8:15am.
 09/15/08   BRHC Holds Fall Meeting
The Blue Ridge Hockey Conference held its largest meeting in history, along with the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League this past weekend in Williamsburg, Virginia. With more than fifty representatives present, the meeting represented 25 teams in five states.
 09/06/08   Keydets announce Daniel Berthiaume as new Head Coach
After Coach Andrew Westhouse was promoted to head Assistant to the Athletic Director he had to step down from his role with the hockey team. The Keydets heard from several applicants and Coach Bert was the best fit. We are overwelmed by his experience and excited where he can take VMI hockey.
 09/04/08   BRHC and CCHC Merge; Announce Expansion
BRHC moves from 9 teams in 2007-08 to 19 teams in 2008-09. BRHC welcomes back Richmond, ECU, VCU, ASU along with new editions Loyola, GWU, GMU, The Citadel and Salisbury.
